Ebola

Ebola- it’s a scary thing

An Opinionated Blog.
Topic: Ebola

Yes, Ebola just the mention of it gives some goosebumps, it’s a scary thing.
What makes this all even more terrifying is that- after many years- no one knows the host of the disease. So, you could just touch something or someone and the next seventy-two hours you could have a high fever. One man has died of the fatal virus in America. What I don’t understand is that why is it that now- now thats it’s in our country- we start to care.

Now, tell me, would we be all worried and stocking up the house with hand-sanitations if this Ebola was spreading in Spain or South Africa? Honestly, no, no we wouldn’t be scared. We’d watch the news and soak in the new information with a blank expression maybe with an occasional, oh what a pity. Now that it’s in America, our hearts are pumping and we constantly ponder the thought as we look around the streets or in an elevator. Which one of these strangers were just on a plane? Which one of these people are not feeling well, and will this effect me? Maybe as Americans we’re all just selfish.

So we sit here in our homes and wait. Wait for those 5.0 GPA scientists to figure out a cure. To figure out why is everyone dropping like flies and why we haven’t found the cure to Ebola yet.

Ebola- it’s a real thing, it’s a scary thing.
